Daniel Ortega has still not turned one week to have assumed for the second time the Presidency of the Republic, but already he is putting to Nicaragua - another time like in the Eighties of century twenty just last in the eye of the hurricane of the confrontation against the United States of North America, that is Yankee imperialism as they call it in the leftist slang.

Apparently Nicaragua could receive many economic and material benefits, being associated to the Venezuela de Hugo Chavez and the Iran de Mahmud Ahmadinejad, that lead the antiAmerican world-wide fight now, financed with the immense petroliferous wealth of its two countries. But still if it were certain that Nicaragua would have insured in the long term Venezuelan petroleum - paid and in favorable conditions of credit by next the 200 years, as it assured Chávez in Managua during the festejos by the taking possession president Ortega; and although it was truth, also, the promise of multiple Ahmadinejad to give or to facilitate on the credit projects of aid to the development, as well as to pardon the debt of 152 million dollars that Nicaragua with Iran has, although thus outside, we repeated, the price that it would have to pay the Nicaraguan town could be very high.

Without a doubt that Daniel Ortega and the FSLN has the right and the freedom to choose the friendships that they want. They can be friends not only of Chávez and Ahmadinejad who lead the world-wide fight against the United States, but also of the terrorists or “insurgents” who in Iraq, Afghanistan and other countries fight to their way by the same cause. But they do not have right to jeopardize to Nicaragua in any international adventure, do not have to drag to the nation to another confrontation against the United States and their allies, in which we only took those to lose with unpredictable consequences. It is possible that the enemies of the United States are right that assures that this one is debilitated now, that it is on the the defense and it is the propitious moment to attack it. But the participation of Nicaragua in the confrontations against the United States, following adventurers like Chávez and Ahmadinejad, is a folly that all we could pay too expensive.

Daniel Ortega would have to reflect sensibly on this and to rectify the course, before he is too much behind schedule.
