I.A.D.B. opens ears to sandinistas

The representative of the Inter-American Development Bank (I.A.D.B.),
Mirna Liévano de Márquez, assured yesterday that that organism
is open to support to the sandinista Government in the social
projects that have announced like high-priority during next the
five years.
“In the case of the I.A.D.B., them project that we supported
responds to the necessities raised by the Government, and if the
Government (sandinista) indicates priorities to us for great
social sectors, great part of the financing will go there”, said
Liévano to the being consulted yesterday by the NEW NEWSPAPER.
He indicated that until the moment they have seen with good eyes
the signals sent by the new administration that presides over
Daniel Ortega, in the related thing to the handling of the
economy and that hopes continues in that line.
“We are in the process to reunite to us with the different civil
employees in the institutions, we have had a very positive
impression that he makes us think that most of the projects they
are going to continue walking in his normal course”, Liévano
said.
Consulted on the exposition made in days last through several
presidents of Latin America make circulate a unique currency in
all the continent, the representative of the I.A.D.B. said to be
convinced that that will happen, but not in the short term.
“I believe that this one is an exposition that has more
viability in the long term, because he is very complicated, must
add the wills of the different countries and also it has
monetary implications”, indicated Liévano.
It remembered that experiences at international level exist and
the best example is the European Union, in where the Euro was
constituted years ago like the unique currency. |
