Nicaragua in the eyes of the world

Again Nicaragua is the news in the world. The electoral victory of the FSLN and their presidential candidate, Daniel Ortega, returned the eyes from the world towards Nicaragua. It is that the sandinismo - - historically--
it has projected of important way to this small Central American country in the world at different times: with Sandino, with the sandinista revolution, and today with the return from the FSLN to the national Government.

This positive attention in main lines not only has to do with the news coverage or mediatic attention that has waked up the arrival to the government of the sandinistas, but by the amount of delegations of political and social movements and official delegations (more than 60) and the level of these, more than 16 at level of government or Chief of State of different parts from the world, which confirms the interest by Nicaragua, the respect and the recognition towards President Electo and his party, and by extension to Nicaragua.

Sandino, from the center of America, Nicaragua, between 1927 and 1934, became symbol and reference of the anti-imperialist fight not only America, but to world-wide level. The worthy and heroic actions of the “Small Crazy Army” aroused the affections of the towns and the progressive sectors at that time historical. Sandino was the news and reference in America, in Europe, in Asia and other regions of the world. For that reason combatant also internacionalist by different parts from the world they accompanied to Sandino and the Defending Army by the National Sovereignty in this battle by national liberation and social .redemption.

The sandinista revolution and the original revolutionary project that raised called the attention of the world; the heroic resistance of the Nicaraguan town, headed by the Sandinista Government, to the policy military of the United States in years 80, the example of Nicaragua in the international relations and their leadership, the legal victory of Nicaragua in Is It against the war and the blockade American, among other factors, turned to Nicaragua in one of the centers of world-wide attention.

From 90 years that exemplary and heroic Nicaragua of years 80 began to be forgotten, to stop being a reference; and as by magic art it disappeared of the international interest and the news in the world, and if it were known suddenly or something is spoken were because some misfortune had happened (as the “natural disasters”) or by the news of corruption of the governors.

Today again Nicaragua, with the sandinista victory, opens a space of attention in the world, opens a great expectation of which it can make the FSLN in his return to the national Government. That positive expectation is necessary to harness it in interest of the integral and progressive development in Nicaragua, to position from better way to the country in the world, in which it must contribute to forge and to construct new relations signed by the cooperation, the solidarity and the construction of a world more just.

Nicaragua confirms the wave of progressive changes that have followed one another in Latin America in the last ten years, in which in each society and nation important projects of transformation are being pushed, each one with its particularitity, but in which there are subjects in common, as the combat to the poverty, the fight to leave the delay and the subdevelopment, so that the State assumes its responsibility in the economic-social development and so that a new type of international relations is constructed, shared in common and right.

Nicaragua must contribute - - with creativity and perseverancia--, from its brief space, to that fight common, and to be example in America and the world of which it is possible to be made to construct to societies and right nations, worthy and shared in common, that it is what we needed today to change this unjust and more and more unequal world in that we lived.
